What a Spectacular Star Party!!!!
A magnificent auroral display was experienced by a field of nearly 600 observers attending the Black Forest Star Party under the pristine skies of Cherry Springs Dark Sky Park.
Please help support this dark sky park by contributing to the new Cherry Springs Dark Sky Fund.......you CAN make a difference. Demonstrate with a donation that you want to help protect a vanishing fragile resource....the night sky.
An Olympus C2020Z digital camera was used for the following images (more will follow soon). All exposures were 6 seconds in length at ISO 400. GHAAS members Mike and Carole Natitus, attended the star party as newlyweds, and had a honeymoon kiss under the colourful lights of the Aurora Borealis. Congratulations Mike and Carole!
